OFFICIAL RULES

To enter the Disney+ Gift the Galaxy Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes"), you must agree to and abide by these Official Rules ("Official Rules").

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

WINNER MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL FOR THE PRIZE EVENT ON DATES SPECIFIED BY SPONSOR CURRENTLY ANTICIPATED TO BE ON OR AROUND APRIL 16, 2024 – APRIL 21, 2024. WINNER MUST HAVE A PASSPORT VALID THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE PRIZE TRIP.

1. Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is only open to entrants who, at the time of entry and throughout the Sweepstakes Period and prize fulfillment period as set forth below, are: (a) natural persons who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia; and (b) at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older). Entrants must not be an employee, director, or IRS dependent, immediate family member or individual residing in the same household of, an employee or director, of Disney Streaming Services LLC ("Sponsor" or "Disney+"), Probability LLC ("Administrator"), or their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, fulfillment or production agencies, or anyone involved in the selection of the winner, as well as persons involved in the production of the Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 event including but not limited to Lucasfilm Ltd. and Reed Exhibitions, a division of RELX Inc. (collectively, "Sweepstakes Entities"). Void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

2. Sponsor: Disney Streaming Services LLC, 1211 Avenue of the Americas, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10036.

3. Administrator: Probability LLC, 2 Woodstock Meadow Ln, PO Box 1484, Woodstock, NY 12498.

4. Sweepstakes Entry: The Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on November 12, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on December 20, 2024 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Administrator's computer is the Sweepstakes’ official clock.

5. How to Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, there are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes:

1. Method #1 – Disney+ Subscriber Online Entry: You must be a Disney+ subscriber, with an online MyDisney account to enter online. Visit https://sweepstakes.disneyplus.com/gift-the-galaxy ("Website"), provide your e-mail address and click the "Enter" button. You will need to log in using your MyDisney account (the "Account") username or e-mail address and password; or, if you do not have an online MyDisney account, you will be prompted to create an account for free by providing the requested information on the registration form. Proof of inputting information at the Website is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt by Sponsor or Administrator. Receipt of entry may be acknowledged but such acknowledgment does not constitute a representation by Sponsor or Administrator as to eligibility of entry and is not otherwise binding upon Sponsor or Administrator.

CLICK THE CHECKBOX SIGNIFYING THAT YOU MEET THE SWEEPSTAKES ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS, HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE SPONSOR’S TERMS OF USE (HTTP://DISNEYTERMSOFUSE.COM/). IF YOU DO NOT CHECK THE BOX INDICATING YOUR AGREEMENT TO THE ABOVE, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED IN THE SWEEPSTAKES AND CANNOT WIN THE PRIZE. DO NOT CHECK THE BOX WITHOUT FIRST REVIEWING THESE RULES AND SPONSOR’S TERMS OF USE. Then, click the designated button to submit your entry. Normal internet access and usage charges imposed by your internet service provider may apply.

During the entry process, you may be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails and reminder e-mails from Sponsor. Consenting to receive promotional e-mails and reminder e-mails is optional and does not have to be agreed upon in order to be eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes and does not improve your chances of winning. In the event you do consent to receive these e-mails, the use of such e-mails shall be subject to the privacy policy of the Sponsor (available at https://www.disneyplus.com/legal/privacy-policy) and you may opt out of receiving these e-mails at any time.

2. Method #2 – Free Alternate Method of Entry Form ("AMOE"): To enter the Sweepstakes without becoming a Disney+ subscriber, individuals who are eligible as per above may send a note card with their name, e-mail address, city and state of residence, and daytime phone number and mail in an envelope to: Disney+ Gift the Galaxy Sweepstakes Entry, P.O. Box 1559, Social Circle, GA 30025-9999 ("Mail-in Entry"). Mail-in entries must be postmarked by December 20, 2024 and received by January 6, 2025 to be eligible for the drawing. To be eligible, Mail-in entries must be postmarked from an address in the 50 U.S. or District of Columbia. Each note card must be mailed separately. Multiple mail-in entries mailed in the same envelope will not be accepted. All mail-in entries must be handwritten. Mechanical reproductions will not be accepted. Proof of sending or mailing of mail-in entries will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor or proof of entry. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due mail-in entries, all of which will be disqualified. Receipt of mail-in entries will not be acknowledged. Mail-in entries become Sponsor’s property and will not be returned. BY SENDING THE NOTE CARD, YOU INDICATE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES. DO NOT ENTER WITHOUT FIRST REVIEWING THESE RULES.

Limit of one (1) entry per person per day regardless of the number of e-mail addresses or accounts a person may have, or the entry method. A "day" is defined as starting at 12:00 AM ET and ending at 11:59 PM ET except for the first day of the Sweepstakes Period (11/12/24) which will begin at 9:00 AM ET. Multiple entries in violation of entry limit and/or mass entry attempts will result in disqualification of all entries by such person. Online entries must be manually key-stroked by the entrant; use of automated entry devices or programs, or entries by third parties are prohibited. Entries that do not conform to or that violate these Official Rules or are submitted in any manner other than stated in these Official Rules will be disqualified.

*IMPORTANT: Data rates may apply if (online) Sweepstakes entry is submitted via your mobile device according to the terms and conditions of your service agreement with your wireless carrier. Other charges may apply (such as normal airtime and carrier charges as well as charges for wireless Internet access) and may appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid account balance. Wireless carriers' rate plans may vary, and you should contact your wireless carrier for more information on messaging/data rate plans and charges relating to your participation in this Sweepstakes. Mobile device service may not be available in all areas. Check your device's capabilities for specific instructions.

6. Winner Selection and Odds: Potential winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period in a random drawing. The drawing will take place on or about January 7, 2025. The drawing will be conducted by Administrator, an independent judging organization/administrator whose decisions are final and binding on all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

7. Winner Notification: Potential Winner will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone on or about January 9, 2025. Before being declared the winner ("Winner"), potential prize winner will be required to complete, sign and return within three (3) business days of date on notification an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and Indemnification, a Publicity Release where allowed by law, the necessary paperwork for a background check, as well as other documents that Sponsor may require (collectively the "Prize Claim Documents"). Failure to respond to the initial notification within three (3) business days after notification, return of e-mail notification as undeliverable after two (2) attempts, or failure to return the completed and signed Prize Claim Documents within the indicated time period will result in disqualification, prize forfeiture and selection of an alternate potential winner from among all remaining eligible entries received (time permitting).

In the event of any dispute concerning the identity of any entrant, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the natural person who is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the Account (for entries made via Method #1) or the e-mail address indicated on the Mail-In Entry (for entries made via Method #2), as applicable. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

THE WINNER WILL BE ISSUED A FORM 1099 FOR TAX PURPOSES IN THE AMOUNT OF THE ACTUAL FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE PRIZE AND MUST SUBMIT THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY OR TAX ID NUMBER, AS APPROPRIATE, AS REQUIRED BY LAW. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL INCOME TAXES IMPOSED ON THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIZE ARE SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

8. Prize and Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"):

There will be one (1) prize awarded to Winner ("Prize"). 

Prize (One [1] Winner): The Winner will receive a 6-day/5-night trip for the Winner and one (1) guest ("Guest") to Chiba, Japan to attend Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 (the "Event") currently scheduled to take place April 18-20, 2025 (collectively, the "Trip"). Trip includes: 3-Day Adult Enteral Admission Tickets for the winner and their guest (Event will be held at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center located at 2 Chome-1 Nakase, Mihama Ward, Chiba, Japan); five (5) nights’ hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy, room and tax only) at a Chiba area hotel selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion; roundtrip economy air transportation for two (2) from international airport near Winner’s residence ("Airport of Origin", as selected by Sponsor) to Tokyo airport (as selected by Sponsor); roundtrip ground transportation to/from Tokyo airport and hotel; and ground transportation to/from Chiba hotel and Event.

Winner will also receive one (1) Star Wars prize pack consisting of Star Wars merchandise valued at $1,000.00. Exact items of prize pack to be chosen by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

ARV of Prize: $15,000.00. The actual value of the Prize awarded may vary depending on a number of factors, including point of departure, date, times of travel, and fluctuations of rates and airfares (if applicable) at the time of travel booking. Therefore, the actual value of the Prize awarded may be lower or higher at the time it is fulfilled. If the actual value of the Prize is less than the stated estimated value, the difference will not be awarded.

TRAVEL MUST OCCUR ON OR ABOUT APRIL 16, 2025 – APRIL 21, 2025 AS DETERMINED BY SPONSOR. WINNER AND GUEST MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO ATTEND EVENT; IF WINNER IS NOT AVAILABLE AT SUCH TIME FOR ANY REASON, THE PRIZE WILL BE FORFEITED IN ITS ENTIRETY WITHOUT COMPENSATION AND AN ALTERNATE WINNER SELECTED (TIME PERMITTING).

If Winner chooses to accept the Prize without a Guest (or if Guest does not return Release of Liability/Publicity Release, Winner will only receive Prize in increments appropriate for themselves and no substitute prize or compensation will be awarded. Without limitation, Winner will only receive one (1) admission to the Event.

The Winner’s Guest must be at least thirteen (13) years of age; if the guest of the Winner is a minor in their jurisdiction of residence, the Winner must be their parent or legal guardian. Guest (if a minor in their jurisdiction of residence, their parent or legal guardian) must sign a Release and Indemnification and a Publicity Release (where allowed by law), prior to issuance of travel documents, which must be returned with the Prize Claim Documents requested of Winner, or guest portion of the Trip will be forfeited.

Sponsor reserves the right to condition award of Prize upon the results of a background check on Winner and Guest. Winner and Guest agree to fully cooperate in the conduct of such background check, timely providing any additional materials, information and consents requested by Sponsor or Administrator, with the understanding that Sponsor may refrain from awarding the Prize (or, allowing Guest to accompany  Winner on the Trip, as the case may be) without liability of any kind if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that the past conduct of Winner and/or Guest would disparage or adversely affect the goodwill and business reputation of Sponsor and/or its products (including, by way of example only, commission of a felony, an act of insurrection or any act of moral turpitude). Winner and their Guest further understand and agree that any decision by Sponsor as to the results of a background check is final and binding.

Winner and guest must at all times during the Trip (i) act in an appropriate, well-behaved and respectful manner (as determined in Sponsor’s/Event personnel’s sole discretion) including complying with the Event’s Code of Conduct and Safety/Security policies as well as abiding by cultural etiquette (e.g., refraining from taking pictures without permission, speaking softly) and (ii) abide by all national, prefectural and municipal laws and regulations of Japan. In addition, Winner and guest must follow all safety and other instructions, including but not limited to any laws/regulations or policies of the United States, Japan, Chiba and Event location designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19/Coronavirus; such as, mask-wearing, social distancing, providing proof of negative COVID-19/Coronavirus test and/or vaccination against COVID-19/Coronavirus; as well as any mandatory quarantine should winner and guest contract COVID-19/Coronavirus during the Trip.

Winner and their Guest are also cautioned that many common medications and over-the-counter drugs are prohibited in Japan.

Winner and Guest must travel together on the same itinerary and must possess all required travel documents, including valid passports. Winner and Guest must comply with any applicable hotel check-in requirements, such as presentation of a major credit card (and should Winner not have a credit card/payment instrument with sufficient available credit/funds to pay for a hotel stay of five [5] nights (or in such other amount as prescribed by hotel), Winner agrees to sign additional documents and/or take other steps prescribed by Sponsor and/or Administrator, upon request and without compensation of any kind, so as to protect Sponsor and Administrator from incurring any liability for damage to the hotel room caused during the hotel stay by Winner and their Guest.) Accommodations and travel are for up to two (2) persons sharing one (1) accommodation only. No additional guests are permitted to attend the Event or stay in the accommodations booked by Sponsor and/or Administrator (even if Winner pays for all costs/expenses associated with such additional guests). Winner and Guest will not receive frequent flier miles, award points or other prerequisites in conjunction with Prize travel. Sweepstakes Entities are not liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation/delay. Airfare may not include government taxes, Passenger Facility Charge or September 11th Security Fee. All airline tickets are subject to the vagaries of flight variation, work stoppages, and schedule or route changes.

Winner and Guest assume the risk of any inherent or unforeseen dangers associated with travel. Winner and Guest further understand and agree that Sponsor has not obtained insurance of any kind for them relative to acceptance/use of the prize. Winner is solely responsible for any and all costs and expenses not specifically mentioned in the Prize description above including, but not limited to, round-trip transportation between the Winner’s residence and the Airport of Origin, flight/travel insurance, beverages, food, gratuities and tips, travel insurance, laundry service, merchandise, room service, service charges, souvenirs, spa services/treatments, local and long distance telephone calls and taxes. In addition, photo identification and credit card in good standing or cash deposit may be required at check-in for incidental charges (e.g., room service, use of telephone/IT services, laundry and all other optional extra services not provided as part of the Prize). The actual value of the Prize awarded may vary depending on a number of factors, including point of departure, date, times of travel, and fluctuations of rates and airfares (if applicable) at the time of travel booking, and the number of travelers. Therefore, the actual value of the Prize awarded may be lower or higher at the time it is fulfilled. If the actual value of the Prize is less than the stated estimated value, the difference will not be awarded. The Winner will not receive compensation for any element(s) of the Prize that any participant(s) is unable to use for any reason, and such unused portion(s) of the Prize will be forfeited.

In the event Winner is able to take the Trip, but the Event does not or cannot take place as scheduled or at all, for reasons including but not limited to inclement weather, cancellations, postponement, location changes, security considerations, an event of force majeure, or for any other reason, then Sponsor reserves the right to award an alternate prize of comparable value (i.e., 6-day/5-night trip to Chiba, Japan).

In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes promotional materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail and govern.

9. Limitations on Liability: By entering, entrants agree that Sweepstakes Entities, and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever, and shall be released and held harmless by entrants, for any injuries, claims, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of Prize or participation in this Sweepstakes or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity, or entrant’s failure to comply with the Official Rules. The Released Parties shall not be liable to Winner or any other person for failure to supply the Prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, tsunami, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond the Released Parties’ control. The Released Parties are not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind affecting the Sweepstakes in any manner, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failures beyond Sponsor’s control that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes (including entries or otherwise), Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual, whether or not the individual is a participant in the Sweepstakes, who tampers with the entry process, and to terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to conduct the Sweepstakes and award the Prize by means of a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor or otherwise in a manner which is fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Notice of termination/modification/suspension of Sweepstakes will be posted on the Website. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or loss, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer or internet online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry or participation to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website/platform, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this Sweepstakes. Failure of Sponsor or Administrator to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute the waiver of such provision.

Entrants further agree not to knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Sweepstakes and/or prevent others from participating in the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY ONLINE SERVICE, WEBSITE OR PLATFORM OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, MAY VIOLATE CRIMINAL OR CIVIL LAWS. IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE, SPONSOR MAY DISQUALIFY ANY PERSON, WHETHER OR NOT THE INDIVIDUAL IS A PARTICIPANT IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, MAKING SUCH ATTEMPT AND SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.

Except where legally prohibited, Winner grants (and agree to confirm in writing) permission for the Released Parties to use such Winner's name, photograph, voice, likeness, and/or statements made by, or attributed to the Winner in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, including, without limitation, on the World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval or compensation and in perpetuity.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING REGARDING THIS SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING THE PRIZE, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Disputes/Choice of Law: Except where prohibited, entrants  agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the administration of this Sweepstakes, or the awarding of prize/determination of the prize Winner, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration pursuant to the Rules of JAMS, then effective (notwithstanding the foregoing, entrant  shall not be precluded from seeking relief in small claims court for disputes/claims within the scope of the jurisdiction of small claims court and any remedies available to entrant  under applicable federal, state or local law remain available to entrant  and are not waived pursuant to this section); (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any and all rights to injunctive relief. The arbitrator hearing such dispute/claim/cause of action shall be neutral and the entrant  will have a reasonable opportunity to participate in the selection of the arbitrator. Such arbitration will take place at a location near the entrant’s residence and the entrant has the right to an in-person hearing in the arbitration proceeding, if desired. The arbitration will allow for the discovery and/or exchange of non-privileged information between entrant and Sponsor. Should an entrant initiate arbitration pursuant to this section, the entrant shall be responsible for JAMS’s fees to do so (approximately, $250 USD), with all other costs of such arbitration being borne solely by Sponsor. If entrant is a California resident and Sponsor is the prevailing party in such arbitration, such entrant will not be responsible for Sponsor’s costs and fees in conjunction with the arbitration proceeding; BUT, IN ALL OTHER CASES, ENTRANT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH COSTS/FEES IF REQUIRED BY THE ARBITRATOR’S RULING. For the avoidance of doubt, the requirement to arbitrate disputes pursuant to this section is reciprocal and binding both upon entrants and Sponsor. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and/or Released Parties in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine of New York or any other jurisdiction and all proceedings shall take place in the City of New York, County of New York.

12. Winner’s List: To obtain the name of the Winner of the Sweepstakes, send a properly stamped self-addressed envelope, by January 31, 2025 to: Disney+ Gift the Galaxy Sweepstakes Winner’s List, c/o Probability, PO Box 1559, Social Circle, GA 30025-1559.
